Job Summary:
The Program Officer will report to the Project Manager within the Global Education Department and will provide administrative assistance and support to the Global Education Next Engineers, Egyptian Pioneers projects. The PO will collect, compile, and analyzes information relevant to GE projects, assist the Business Development Team with proposals, and process more complicated paperwork. The Program Officer will perform a variety of administrative tasks, projects scholarship management, and coordinates with the technical team and project support, in addition to communication efforts related to project management and execution. Ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations is a crucial role of this position in addition to monitoring and tracking the financial reports/expenditure of vendors and project status. The Program Officer will ensure the completion of the program tasks while adhering to budget, scope, and schedule requirements. These responsibilities will be in conjunction with other related programs/projects objectives and deliverables.
Accountabilities:
Programmatic Administration:
Collaborates with the project management team to assist in ensuring project needs and requirements are met.
Provides support to project management, such as planning for and arranging meetings and conference room setup, supporting travel requests, and taking on sub-task assignments.
Collects existing information (metrics, data, etc.) for use in reports, contacting sub- contractors, grantees, partners for external information, and maintains distribution list for project reports.
Facilitates communication by answering partner inquiries and ensures project internal and external websites are current.
Coordinates assigned project activities and may conduct research to achieve project goals.
Assists in the management of the project calendar to ensure project deadlines are being achieved.
Maintain various financial and administrative trackers for consultants, purchase orders, and subawards;
Sets up and maintains electronic project files.
Sends reminders to keep team on track with reporting deadlines and technical deliverables.
Provides administrative support to projects as needed by writing and reviewing reports on a quarterly basis.
May support project/project teams administratively to provide high quality deliverables to clients.
Fulfills other administrative and special project duties as assigned.
Finance Support:
Assist with the coordination and tracking of performance against Financial Cost Objective (FCO) ID, project timelines, budget, objectives, and deliverables.
Assists the project team with the coordination of budgets.
Collects, compiles, and analyzes cost information relevant to the project.
Serves as the project liaison to internal units such as finance, contracts, centers, etc.
Scholarships Management:
The Program Officer will serve as the GE point of contact for projects scholarships management.
Assist with the coordination, administration, and evaluation of scholarship programs to ensure smooth operations and successful outcomes for the recipients.
Facilitate the disbursement of scholarship funds to recipients, universities and work closely with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate payments.
Act as the primary point of contact for scholarship recipients, addressing their inquiries and providing guidance in close coordination with the project technical team.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of scholarship applicants, recipients, and disbursements using the Monday.com platform. Generate regular reports to track scholarship program metrics and outcomes.
Business Development and Proposal Management Support:
Support the Global Education business development initiatives.
May serve as proposal coordinator or technical budget lead.
Education: **
Bachelor's Degree or its International Equivalent โ in Education, International Development, Economic Development, and Business Administration.
Experience: **
Typically requires a minimum of 2-5+ years of relevant experience supporting projects and/or a technical practice area.
Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO), government agency, or private organization.
Prior experience using Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

Remote or Typical office environment
Ability to spend long hours looking at computer screen and doing repetitive work on a keyboard.
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
Technology to be Used:
Personal Computer/Laptop, Microsoft applications (i.e., Office 365, SharePoint, Skype/Zoom/Teams),cellphone/mobile technology, and standard office equipment.
Travel Requirements:
10% - 25%
The expected hiring salary range for this role is listed below. FHI 360 pay ranges represent national averages that vary by geographic location. When determining an offer amount, FHI 360 factors in multiple considerations, including but not limited to: relevant years of experience and education possessed by the applicant, internal equity, business sector, and budget.
Base salary is only one component of our offer. FHI 360 contributes 12% of monthly base pay to a money purchase pension plan account. Additionally, all US based staff working full-time, which is calculated at 40 hours/week, receive 18 days of paid vacation per year, 12 sick days per year, and 11 holidays per year. Paid time off is reduced pro rata for employees working less than a full-time schedule.
Hiring Salary Range: $51,000- $72,000
