PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The USAID/Community Mobilization Initiatives to End Tuberculosis 2 (COMMIT 2), will improve access to quality TB diagnosis, treatment, and prevention services. COMMIT2 is led by the Khmer HIV/AIDS NGO Alliance (KHANA) and its partners, including FHI 360 for technical guidance on key approaches. Fostering connections with the health system, involving communities and the private sector, and streamlining the TB information system are the main focus areas. FHI360โ€™s scope will support technical assistance for quality improvement and private sector engagement interventions during COMMIT2โ€™s first three years. The technical guidance will leverage USAIDโ€™s Enhancing Quality Healthcare Activity (EQHA and EQHA II) approaches and FHI 360โ€™s proven experience to improve systems and outcomes across the Asia region that introduce effective, evidence-based approaches, such as COACH-TB, QI TA approach in engaging the public and private health facility in the TB response.

COMMIT 2 builds on the successes to date of the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) and development partners and aim at achieving three objectives:

Objective 1: aims to enhance access to and demand for high-quality TB services, including diagnosis, treatment, preventive therapy, and management of comorbidities, at both community and health facility levels in Cambodia.

Objective 2: aims to improve data collection and utilization by expanding the TB Management Information System (TB-MIS) sustainably.

Objective 3 aims to improve implementation and impact through partnership, evidence generation, and innovation. Through channels like policy briefs, meetings, and World TB Day events, key stakeholders will be engaged for TB advocacy, mobilizing support and resources.

JOB SUMMARY:

The QI in private health sector technical officer will be under the supervision of the COMMIT 2 Project Coordinator. S/he will support COMMIT 2/KHANA and partners in overall private sector engagement and QI Technical Assistance (TA) Approach implementation under COMMIT 2โ€™s Objective 1 and Objective 3 work plans. S/he will support initiatives including operational research to inform policy and program design, evidence generation for private sector engagement in TB service delivery, and improvement of policies, guidelines, and strategies for TB case finding and holding. S/he will ensure the technical quality of training activities, advocate for the institutionalization of modern QI in the private health sector, and build a sustainable platform at the sub-national level for private health sector engagement/supervision mechanisms. S/he will ensure that COMMIT 2 leverages USAIDโ€™s Enhancing Quality Healthcare Activity (EQHA and EQHA II) approaches and FHI 360โ€™s proven experiences across the Asia region to introduce evidence-based approaches, such as COACH-TB, to engage the private sector in the TB response.
