Job Summary:
The Program Officer will work under the direction of the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP-Technical). S/he will take roles on health literacy and community engagement and provide administrative assistance and support to project. S/he will collect, compile, and analyze information relevant to projects (e.g., update manuals, assist with proposal, process more complicated paperwork). S/he will provide administrative and project support, in addition to communication efforts related to project management and execution. S/he will coordinate with technical team and prepare presentations and support other related project objectives and deliverables.
Responsibilities:
Health Literacy and Community Engagement:
- Partner with local technical consultants to support the SCALE partners and community health educators to ensure quality community engagement in all health literacy trainings and activities, including co-creation workshops and identify, collaborate with, and empower key local community stakeholders to maximize the coverage of community health literacy activities and strengthen universal access to healthcare services for all individuals of the local ethnic minority communities.
- Work with the technical advisors, technical consultants and community stakeholders to ensure health literacy messages and materials reflect local knowledge, traditions, and values.
- Provide the COP, DCOP-Technical and other technical advisors with practical insight and solutions with regard to how to organize culturally appropriate community engagement activities in the local contexts.
Programmatic Administration:
- Collaborates with the project management team to assist in ensuring project needs and requirements are met.
- Collects existing information (metrics, data, etc.) for use in reports, reaching out to subcontractors, grantees, and partners for external information.
- Facilitates communication by answering partner inquires.
- Coordinates assigned project activities.
- Assists in the management of the project calendar to ensure project deadlines are being achieved.
- Sets up and maintains electronic and physical project files.
- Reviews and contributes to work plans.
- Supports project/project teams administratively to provide high quality deliverables to clients.
- Fulfills other administrative and special project duties as assigned.
- Assists to draft and contributes to the development and management of contracts and grants as needed or required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelorโs degree in management, public heath, or social sciences; Masterโs degree preferred.
- Experience on social media management and/or working in marketing agency.
- Digital image processing and video editing skill is a plus.
- At least 3 years of experience with NGOs or funding organizations involving program implementation and management.
- Superior written and oral communications skills in English.
