POSITION DESCRIPTION
Project: Meeting Targets and Achieving Epidemic Control (EpiC) GF TA Project.
Position Title: Program Intern (x3)
Location: Country Office, Abuja
Supervisor: Senior Program Officer, EpiC
Basic Function:
The Program interns will provide programmatic and operational support to the team for the implementation of Meeting Targets and Achieving Epidemic Control (EpiC) project activities as assigned. S/he will form part of the team that supports coordination and overall implementation of the various scopes under the project including technical assistance (TA) to designated partner(s). S/he should be able to multi-task, and have excellent computer literacy skills, communication, and organizational skills, especially in familiarizing themselves with the organizational processes, performing quality assessments, and responding to the project's needs and concerns.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide program and administrative support to the team in the implementation of the GF TA project deliverables including support to the NACA C19RM PR and SRs as assigned.
- Support with preparation of various program documents such as workplans, budgets, reports, and proposals on program implementation, presentation materials / slides in Power-point for presentations for meetings/workshops.
- Support the team in planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of activities focused on achievement of the goals of the project.
- Support with maintaining program monitoring checklists and budget tracking tools to effectively supervise deliverables and burn rate of project activities based on approved workplan.
- Review, collate and submit routine (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly) progress reports from sub teams.
- Maintain and organize up-to-date hard and electronic files for easy access and retrieval, ensuring safe keeping of confidential materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and deliver high volumes of work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to organize systems to monitor administrative and implementation results.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work as a team member.
- High degree of proficiency in written and spoken English communication
- Well-developed computer skills and attention to details.
- Ability to travel within Nigeria 10% time.
Qualifications and Requirements:
B.Sc./BA degree, with excellent ICT skills. He/she must possess an NYSC discharge certificate with at least one year prior experience in similar role.
