Portfolio Manager

NIB is now seeking a Portfolio Manager to join the Asset and Liability Management (ALM) team in the Treasury & Finance department. The ALM team consists of the Head of unit and three full-time employees. The position is based at the Bankโ€™s headquarters in Helsinki.

The ALM team is responsible for funds transfer pricing and for supporting lending on hedging, disbursements and prepayment situations. Additionally, the ALM team is responsible for managing NIBโ€™s market risks on the balance sheet and investing the short end of the liquidity buffer.

As a Portfolio Manager, together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the funds transfer pricing framework towards the lending function as well as creating tools and analysis to manage mismatches in the balance sheet. You will also be responsible for dealing in cash and derivative instruments to manage the liquidity position and market risks of the Bank.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in working with funds transfer pricing principles and pricing of liquidity to manage balance sheet mismatches Strong product knowledge in financial instruments such as interest rate swaps, cross currency swaps, foreign exchange, and money market instruments A background in banking An analytical mindset and capability of developing new tools together with the team Understanding of liquidity and balance sheet management A creative and innovative thinking A purpose-driven approach with a good understanding of sustainability matters A masterโ€™s degree in finance, economics, or a similar field Knowledge of programming languages such as Python in an advantage

Excellent language skills in English are required, and skills in member countries languages will be highly meriting.
