NIBโs Communications unit is seeking a COMMUNICATIONS TRAINEE to join its international team in Helsinki for the period September 2025 - February 2026.ย ย
Your responsibilities would be to participate in a variety of communications tasks. These include assisting the communications unit in producing content for NIBโs media and public relations, as well as for internal purposes. You would also assist the team in event organising, and contribute to NIBโs media monitoring, publishing routines and administrative tasks. NIB's communications unit promotes overall knowledge and awareness of NIB among different stakeholders. The Trainee would also participate in the preparation of the Annual Report 2025.ย

The ideal candidate should:ย
be a student majoring in communications, journalism or another relevant field;ย ยbe fluent in English and have excellent writing skills; a fluent command of one or several languages of the Nordic and Baltic countries is considered a strong asset;ย ย
be open-minded, flexible, have good interpersonal and organisational skills as well as a genuine interest in learning;ย ย
be able to work independently;ย ย
have some work experience in communication or journalism, and a knowledge of editorial processes would be an asset;ย
have a creative mindset on how to use the social media.ย ย
Candidates with a knowledge of Nordic and Baltic languages are particularly encouraged to apply for this position.ย ย
