Weโre looking for someone who wants to change the world! We have a massive ambition for children and weโre seeking a dynamic risk management leader to help us achieve our strategic goals in the Pacific and beyond. In this critical role, youโll take the lead in strengthening risk management across our international operations by embedding risk management into decision making at all levels, enhancing our operational resilience and strengthening our incident response capability. We need you to understand the complexity of our work and proactively help us to manage the uncertainty which stands between us and our Vision for children.

Where you come in:
In this full-time, permanent position โ ideally based in Melbourne, though other locations will be considered - you will work collaboratively across multiple teams based in Australia and overseas to ensure that our risk management, business continuity and incident response practices are fit for purpose. You will be part of our Group Operations and report to our Head of Enterprise Risk.

Youโre a rare individual with the emotional intelligence to engage and support stakeholders at all levels to drive continuous improvement in a complex organisation and regulatory landscape. You are a confident and clear communicator, with the judgement to help stakeholders make riskโaware decisions in a world of uncertainty.
This role requires:
5+ yearsโ experience in risk management positions, in either the corporate or NFP sectors. Thorough understanding of the Australian Standards / New Zealand Standards ISO 31000:2018 โ Risk management โ Guidelines. Proven ability to deliver high quality training and capacity building in different cultural contexts and with distributed teams. Demonstrated investigations experience. Excellent stakeholder engagement track record, including experience working in a Pacific or international context.Working at Save the Children is more than just a job.
