Our play-centred early childhood program, Play2Learn, supports young vulnerable children 0-5 years across Australia to develop their social skills, independence, developmental milestones and in turn their capacity to learn. We need you to give these children an experience of quality early childhood education in the Brisbane region, to develop their appetite for learning and help enable a smooth transition into school.

In this casual position, youโll help coordinate the planning, implementation and review of age-appropriate developmental play and learning experiences for children 0-5 years. Youโll provide support and information to parents on developmental issues and make appropriate referrals to other family support, health, education, and welfare agencies. Based in Brisbane, youโll be part of our Brisbane team and report to our Team Leader.
You will make a difference by:
Assisting with the planning and facilitating of weekly playgroup sessions with intentional age-appropriate developmental activities and experiences Creating a welcoming and safe environment Finding creative ways to encourage families to engage with our programs Identifying and addressing physical, social/emotional and educational needs for children 0-5 years Providing information and referrals to families to access other relevant services Monitoring processes, data collection and reporting.A place to feel valued
You have experience in early childhood programs, and the ability to think on your feet, which allows you to find solutions to complex situations. Your infectious enthusiasm for your job will see you actively seeking out families in need of support, and your cultural knowledge will help you build strong connections with children and families from varying cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. You consider yourself a team player and have an โall-hands-on-deckโ attitude.
