Where you come in:

In this full-time permanent position based in Mount Isa youโ€™ll Chair the Mount Isa High Risk Team (HRT), providing support and guidance to the multi-agency members of the HRT.

The HRT sits with the Victim Centred Supports Program within the 54 reasons Domestic and Family Violence Support Services. As Chair, you will oversee and work closely with the HRT Co-ordinator and Cutural Advisor.

You will make an impact by:

Co-ordinating and accepting oversight responsibility of the Mt Isa High Risk Team Participate in and provide expert advice and guidance in all HRT meetings Provide evidence based risk assessment to all referrals received Review HRT performance to ensure on going quality of service delivery Embed the Safe and Together model in all HRT meetings to ensure strength-based responses that uphold the rights of children and caregivers Provide direct support to HRT clients where appropriate Fostering relationships and partnerships, sharing knowledge and understanding of domestic and family violence across the service system and the wider community

This role requires:

Degree qualification in social work, psychology, social science or human services (other disciplines will be considered) Minimum 3 years experience in leading a team, ideally within the domestic and family violence sector Experience in responding as a strength based leader who embeds principles of empowerment, responsibility, and shared decision making across the HRT Ability to demonstrate balanced decision-making skills within complex and challenging situations, especially when met with adverse situations Demonstrated knowledge and experience working in or with the Domestic and Family Violence Sector including an understanding of all current legislation and the Common Risk Assessment Framework
