A place to make a difference:

In this part-time, permanent role (0.8 FTE), you’ll work as a part of our Procurement and Supply Chain team to help us create lasting change for children. Based in any capital city of Australia (but with a preference for Adelaide-based candidates), you’ll have flexibility to work from home or from one of our state offices.

The Procurement and Supply Chain Officer plays an important role in delivering on our vision of a better world for children. Whether it’s improving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Procurement or leading cost reduction procurement strategies across the organisation, you’ll be contributing to our commitment to children in Australia, the Pacific and around the world.

You will make a difference by:

· Maintaining, and ensuring compliance with Procurement policies and procedures

· Establishing, fostering and managing relationships with SCA strategic and key suppliers

· Coordinating and managing purchasing for key high-volume items

· Coordinating domestic & international freight activities across departments

· Negotiating commercial terms and executing agreements

· Contract management of key national accounts

· Overseeing and tracking the approval process for new suppliers and exception requests

This role requires:

· Data driven ability to interrogate spend and identify and exploit commercial opportunities.

· Ability to learn quickly or have previous experience in supply chain management software

· Ability to work with people from different business units and locations to achieve common goals.

· Ability to work autonomously and prioritise based on fastest path to value

· Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related business discipline
