What we are looking for
Experience in community engagement and project management experience in a humanitarian or recovery context as well as expertise to work collaboratively with technical and operational colleagues within a matrix structure.
In this position you will also need to be a strategic thinker with strong problem solving solving skills and stakeholder management experience.
What you will do
The Community Engagement Program Manager will effectively implement the Haretna portfolio across Lebanon.ย The Haretna project is a multi-year grant still in its startup phase. ย The Haretna project relies heavily on Community Engagement methodologies to improve the protection and assistance to displacement affected communities living in urban areas.ย
In this position you will;
Lead in the management and implementation of Haretna community engagement project (activities, budget, timeline, and project documentation)in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements. Provide technical direction and incorporate technical inputs from the Consortiumโs Technical Reference Groupsย to maintain high quality community engagement implementation.ย Support the Consortium Manager in contributing to the project strategy development, project reporting and provide input on needs and gaps.ย Lead and line manage staff, this includes the performance management process; setting clear goals aligned to country strategy and priorities, and following up to ensure high staff performance. ย Train and capacity build field teams on Community Engagement modalities. Develop the capacity of leaders, committees, members, and interest groups through training, Focus Group Discussions, and dialogue sessions Ensure compliance and adherence to NRC policies, Core Competency tools, handbooks and guidelines and a specific responsibility for Grants Management policies and procedures. Facilitate and coordinate formal meetings and dialogue sessions with community representatives, local authorities and stakeholders. Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders, including NGOs and UN agencies.
