- Ensure adherence to NRC policies and donor requirements.
Specific responsibilitiesย
Ensure the provision of information, counselling, legal assistance and training activities to target communities in line with NRC policies, strategies and work plan.Ensure that all ICLA activities are recorded accurately in line with NRC policy and using templates and guidance provided by NRC.ย Ensure the provision of accurate information on legal and civil documentation (LCD) and housing, land and property (HLP) rights and entitlements to target beneficiaries in accordance with agreed information scripts.Ensure the provision of accurate legal counselling on LCD and HLP topics within the competency of the ICLA team members involved and in a manner that enables ICLA counselling beneficiaries to effectively resolve their LCD and HLP issues independently.ย Ensure the provision of appropriate and effective LCD and HLP legal assistance to resolve LCD and HLP cases, including through accompanying beneficiaries, formal correspondence, telephone calls, meetings with authorities and collaborative dispute resolution (CDR) activities etc.ย ย Attend meetings at the local level as agreed with line manager and report on all meetings attended to ICLA Team Leader and ICLA Project Coordinator (including date of meeting, who was in attendance, what was discussed/ agreed and any follow up required).Contribute to assessments, monitoring and profiling exercises as agreed with line managers. ย Compile narrative and statistical reports on activities and cases of interest on agreed templates.ย Ensure that ICLA activities are carried out in line with appropriate standards and report on any incident of malpractice by any ICLA staff member to the ICLA Team Leader and Project Coordinator.Maintain full and accurate ICLA online and offline files, databases and other archives documenting ICLA program progress.Ensure security of data collection and data during implementation of ICLA activities in line with NRC policies.Assist ICLA Project Coordinator in monitoring LID ICLA counselling and legal assistance for trends and to ensure accuracy of data input.Perform any other tasks as requested by ICLA Project Coordinator.ย Ensure the effective provision of LCD and HLP training using NRC approved materials and templates.ย Supervise the Community Base Worker under her/his supervision to carry out their activities in ways consistent with NRC programme objectives, strategies, work plans and donor requirements.Identify and document violations of LCD and HLP rights observed/ reported during field visits to ICLA Project Coordinator.Critical interfaces

Bachelor's degree from a recognized University, preferably in law or related subject.Legal background and knowledge of Myanmar LCD and/ or HLP laws and policies in practice preferred.Minimum of 3 yearsโ work experience in the field with displaced and/or vulnerable groups and communities.Previous NGO work experienceKnowledge about the displacement context in Kachin State and Shan State2.
