The main responsibility of the Education Officer is to support the effective and high-quality implementation of education projects, as detailed below:
Generic Responsibilities:ย
Implement the delegated education project portfolio in line with the approved plan of action.Develop and share daily, weekly, or monthly reports with the line manager, adhering to internal deadlines.Ensure that projects prioritize the most vulnerable beneficiaries, while actively exploring and evaluating innovative and more effective approaches to assistance.Maintain regular communication and coordination with the Technical Officer on thematic project areas.Support the implementation of Safe and Inclusive Programming Minimum Standards within all areas of responsibility.Specific Responsibilities:
Implement education activities in alignment with the direction and guidance of the Education Project Coordinator and Manager.Deliver NRC programmatic components and project thematic areas with the support of the Technical Officer and other technical staff at theย Area Office, Regional Office, and Head Office levels.Actively participate in team planning, regular coordination meetings, and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) activities in collaboration with the Technical Officer. This includes engagement in Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), pre- and post-assessments, research, and evaluations conducted throughout the year.Conduct regular classroom observations to assess the performance ofย remedialย teachers, ensuring quality standards are met. Provide structured, constructive feedback in line with an established training plan based on identified gaps.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project data for assigned schools, including KoBo data entry, targets, assessments, beneficiary information, photographs, and feedback.Prepare, revise, and develop training materials for teaching and non-teaching staff based on identified needs and capacity gaps. Lead and facilitate relevant training sessions and workshops in collaboration with school management and related NRC staff..Organize and implement awareness-raising sessions for parents and school staff in the assigned schools.The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following competencies, skills, and proficiencies.
