- Adherence to NRC policies, guidance, and procedures.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor the implementation of community-led initiatives in line with project proposals and donor requirements.
- Facilitate community engagement and participation in project activities, ensuring inclusivity and empowerment.
- Build and maintain partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including government authorities, technical institutions, and community leaders.
- Ensure effective project management, including budget management, monitoring, and reporting.
- Contribute to the development and dissemination of best practices and lessons learned in community-led environmental initiatives.
- Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer key skillsย
- Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders
- Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy
Specific responsibilitiesย
- Conduct assessments to identify environmental challenges and opportunities for community-led solutions.
- Design and implement projects that address community-specific environmental concerns, such as water harvesting, alternative energy solutions, and sustainable agriculture.
- Provide technical guidance and support to communities on sustainable practices, renewable energy solutions, climate change adaptation, and livelihood opportunities.
- Engaging youth as agents of change in their communities, providing training and support for youth-led initiatives as appropriate.
- Collaborate with technical institutions and universities to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to environmental challenges.
- Support the monitoring and evaluation of project progress and performance, to inform programming.ย
- Ensuring compliance with donor requirements and NRC policies and procedures.

- Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree in Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing development projects.
