The Opportunity:
As the Procurement Assistant, you will support the implementation of key humanitarian projects, including but not limited to, child protection, GBV, and WASH interventions across the Bamenda Office, in line with Plan Internationalโs standards and donor requirements. The position holder will among others:
- Assist in the procurement of project materials following Plan Internationalโs procurement policies and donor requirements;
- Follow up with partner to ensure respect the procurement processes;
- Ensure the timely and accurate distribution of procured materials;
- Obtain and review supplier quotations, prepare bid analyses, and recommend suppliers for approval;
The Individual/About You:
The Procurement Assistant will ensure efficient and effective Logistics planning and engage proactive support to meet project needs and requirements in terms of procurement, achieving compliance to Donor, Grants and Plan procedures and systems - while upholding at best high standards of ethics.
To best meet up with your objectives, the below will be of key value to you:
- Have a Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Procurement and/or Supply Management, Administration Management or an equivalent university degree in a relevant field;
- At least two (02) years of professional experience, including at least six (06months) to one (01) year in a similar position, preferably in an international NGO, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Knowledge of donor regulations, including GAC, ECHO, WFP and/or other foreign government development/humanitarian agencies in procurement matters will be an added advantage;
- Fair experience and knowledge on procurement and logistics procedures.
