Plan International Pilipinas seeks a detail-oriented Finance and Accounting Officer to join our team!
About the Project:
Plan International Pilipinas will implement an 18-month project to strengthen the capacity of local government units (LGUs) in Western and Eastern Samar to prepare for, respond to, and mitigate disasters. This project will directly benefit 7,680 children and adults.
The Role:
The Finance and Accounting Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health of this important project. You will be responsible for managing project funds, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with donor regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Budget Monitoring:
- Support the project team in reviewing budgets and monitoring spending.
- Assist the Project Manager in identifying potential financial issues and ensuring project activities stay within budget.
- Cash Disbursement:
- Review and approve requests for payments, advances, and reimbursements.
- Ensure proper financial coding for all project transactions.
- Prepare bi-weekly fund requests based on approved needs.
- Finance Reporting and Records:
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly and quarterly financial reports.
- Maintain a comprehensive filing system for project financial documents.
- Scan and upload financial documents in a designated online system.
- Collaborate with auditors during audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or a related field.
- Training in computer operations and financial management.
- At least three (3) years of experience in accounting or financial management.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working with donor regulations is a plus.
