The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a highly qualified Emergency Response Managerย to provide support to our team in Mozambique Country Office. The role of the Emergency Response Managerย is to be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing theย Emergency Response programme,ย with focus on Rapid Response, in the Northern Region Mozambique Emergency Response.ย
The ERM guides and ensures capacity building and transferring knowledge to the technical team.ย Theย ERMย will further develop and lead NRCโs Emergency Response portfolio in northern Mozambique.ย
What you will do;
Contribute to development of the country strategy and further develop the Emergency Response Mozambique strategy Develop innovative program with localization, market-based approach and system approach.ย Strengthen community-based approaches in the emergency response including protection analysis ย Develop a robust emergency setup based on appropriate needs analysis with an integrated program approach In close collaboration with the CC specialists contribute to the development of macro LFAs reflecting the emergency response strategies and approach Responsible for developing and quality compliance of all donor proposals, budgets and donor reports related to emergency response Follow up of compliance of donor contractual commitments within the emergency response; ensure high technical quality and synergies in project implementation Develop and revise technical guidance and SOPs for emergency response, including cash programming Allocate resources to area offices as per developed implementation planPlease download theย detailed job descriptionย to learn more about the position.ย
ย What you will bring;
Minimum 5 years of experience from a senior level project implementation position in a humanitarian/recovery context Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts Management experience from Emergency response including rapid response mechanism Experience/knowledge cash&voucher modalities Experience in community-based approaches and protection Effective communicator and trainerย Knowledge about own leadership skills/profileย Fluency in English and excellent writing and communication skills Fluency in Portuguese and local languages highly desirableWhat we offer;
