to join our Financial Planning Unit

The Financial Planning Unit is part of the Treasury & Finance department. The Unit is responsible for developing and maintaining NIB's framework for overall financial planning. At NIB, this activity covers business and financial planning, financial modelling, business performance measurement and forecasting, as well as management reporting and analysis. The financial planning unit has a leading role in reporting, analysing and forecasting the banks financial performance and providing senior management with data-based business insight to support strategic decision making. The unit also has a key role in management of centralised data and business intelligence.

Your role as an Analyst/Associate Analyst will be to contribute to the unitโ€™s key deliverables in financial reporting/forecasting and business analysis. In addition, the role includes development initiatives in areas such as reporting and financial modelling.

Your journey in NIB will consist of:

Taking (or growing into) an expert role in development and delivery of the Financial Planning Unitโ€™s monthly reporting for the Bankโ€™s management and other stakeholders Taking (or growing into) a leading role in developing our Rolling Financial Forecasting model Participating in the development and management of the Unitโ€™s own reporting databases (in alignment with NIBโ€™s data architecture and EDW solution) Understanding end-to-end data flows from source systems to self-service analytical areas and reports Deepening your skills and learning more on financial analysis and forecasting on topics such as profitability, capital, liquidity, and balance sheet while being supported by experienced colleagues Taking part in other tasks within the Unit to stay connected to the overall business activities and business development at NIB

Has passion to working with data and report development while committing to high quality and timely deliveries on business and management reporting Is able to learn how to efficiently utilise different data sources to support ad hoc analytical needs from Business or other key stakeholders Has the ability to work within a team, build relationships and to collaborate in a cross-functional role Has an analytical mindset and relevant technical competences such as Power BI, SQL in addition to mastering Excel Is fluent in spoken and written English with good communication and interpersonal skills Has a higher education qualification, in a field such as finance, data science, data analytics (or other computing science) or statistics (or other relevant education) Has a few years of appropriate work experience in areas such as controlling, reporting and/or business/data analysis/modelling, preferably from the financial industry Has interest in, or would like to learn about capital, liquidity and balance sheet planning and forecasting for financial institutions, including profitability and risk-return considerations Treats data as an asset and continuously strives to improve processes and workflows Is energetic, has a proactive personality and contributes to the positive atmosphere in the team and among colleagues Has a high level of integrity and likes working in a multi-cultural environment
