Join the Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) in Lending Department as the Head of Project and Structured Finance and play an important role in shaping sustainable and climate-focused projects within the Nordic-Baltic region. Based in Helsinki, you will lead a team of seven banking professionals dedicated to making an impact through strategic financing solutions.
About the Role:
As the Head of Project and Structured Finance, you will:
Drive Leadership Excellence:Inspire and cultivate the PSF team to achieve excellence, guiding them through our culture of high performance and teamwork. Set ambitious goals that align with NIB's strategic vision, enhancing our market presence and expanding our business segment. Mandate Delivery and Achieve Business Objectives:Deliver on the PSF business mandate, ensuring profitability and optimal return on capital. Drive the marketing and origination of PSF lending, oversee transaction structuring and execution, and manage the PSF lending portfolio with precision. Enhance Risk Management:Lead the front-line risk management for PSF, collaborating to uphold a robust risk framework and processes. Shape Strategic Planning:Provide senior management with critical insights on market dynamics, financing opportunities, and risk assessment to inform strategic decisions. Foster Stakeholder Relationships:Develop and maintain influential relationships with key stakeholders, representing NIB at industry events and fostering partnerships with project sponsors and developers.Who We Are Looking For:
The ideal candidate will possess:
Leadership:Demonstrated ability to lead through change, with a proven track record in team development and embodying our cultural values. Mastering at setting and achieving targets, with a strong background in business judgment and problem-solving. Professional Experience:At least 10 years in banking, finance, engineering, or legal sectors, preferably in an international context. Extensive experience in PSF lending, financial modelling, risk assessment, and portfolio management. In-depth understanding of industry trends and regional market conditions, with a broad network in the Nordic-Baltic area. Communication and Organizational Skills:Exceptional interpersonal abilities, with a talent for leading teams and building relationships in a multicultural setting. Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of juggling multiple projects under pressure. Integrity and Confidence:A commitment to ethical conduct and the confidence to engage with senior executives and government officials. Educational Background:A relevant university degree with an MBA or equivalent advanced degree favoured. Professional certifications (CFA, CPA, etc.) are a plus. Language Proficiency:Fluency in English is essential, with additional languages of member countries being advantageous.How to Apply:
