- Role and responsibilities
The purpose of this positionย is to support the day-to-day implementation of the Shelter related projects delivered by NRC in Benghazi-Libya.If requested, may also needed to travel to surrounding areas of intervention. Projects in this area are delivered through direct implementation.

Generic professional competencies for this position:ย
Bachelorโs Degree in Civil Engineering, construction, architecture, or equivalent. At least 1 year of technical experience in WASH and/or Shelter and construction fields. Demonstrated experience within technical expertise area of WASH and or Shelter with a focus on hardware aspects Experience from working within technical expertise area in a humanitarian/ recovery context Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts Proven ability to use MS Office software (especially Word and Excel) and competent in email communication with MS Outlook or Other related software. Proven ability to use engineering software such as AutoCAD, and other related software. Be willing and able to travel and work regularly on the field (outside office) Fluency in Arabic, both written and verbalย Good skills in English, both written and verbal is a plus.Context/specific skills, knowledge and experience:
Knowledge of the context in Libya Experience supervising construction and rehabilitation projects. Experience communicating effectively with stakeholders and communities. Excellent Community mobilization skills Good diplomatic skills and tact for community engagement Able to work under pressure and for extended working hours.
