More About the Roleย ย ย
The purpose of the Head of Programme Support Unit is to proactively identify and track donor opportunities, facilitate donor engagement, assist in the development of innovative fundraising strategies, coordinate and write proposals for large and strategic funding opportunities, supervising the process and the team involved, and providing proposal review and suggestions for high quality submissions.ย

ย What you will doย ย ย ย
Lead on the development and revision of funding concept notes and proposals, both direct ones as well as for consortia applicationsย
Be updated on donor priorities, trends and track and share relevant calls for proposalsย
Participate in donor meetings, initiate donor contacts, when necessary, to foster long-term collaboration and engagementย
Support in the development of a multi-year funding strategy, programme forecasts and identify new funding opportunitiesย
Responsible for quality control of donor applications and reportsย
Support in partnership management, especially in terms of joint proposals with local actorsย
Ensure a robust M&E system is in place, including an appropriate beneficiary feedback mechanism. Regular monitoring and data collections should be analysed and factored into future programme design and develop

What you will bringย ย ย
Perform market research to identify new opportunities and engage with stakeholders to establish strategies for pursuing the new opportunities and finding alternative resources for the long-term sustainability of the organizationย
Identify and disseminate information on new funding opportunities from different donors. Use creative approaches to link programme aspirations to donor priorities, while also effectively influencing the strategies of donors.ย
Lead and support in drafting, writing, editing and alignment of proposals for NRCโs business development efforts including developing proposals with a good grasp of the different requirements and needs for contract or cooperative agreement mechanisms.ย
Search for strategic new partnerships with actors in Ethiopia (e.g. research institutions, NGOs, private sector, foundations, etc). Develop a network of private donors willing to support NRC work in Ethiopiaย
Ensure key contacts, required formats and donor strategies are kept up to date at the country office level and shared with relevant staff

Contract: 12 ย months (Fixed Term Contract โ with possibility of extension)ย ย
Travel: 20%.ย ย ย
Salary/benefits: Grade 10ย on NRCโs Ethiopia international/ national salary scaleย ย ย
