NRC is looking for a Protection Project Manager to join the Afghanistan mission. The role holder is responsible for the implementation of the Emergency/Shelter project portfolio and technical support to the South Area Office. He/she is accountable for the establishment and implementation of systems to ensure humanitarian assistance to the right people at the right time. The Shelter Project Manager will contribute to quality programming through thorough project management and use of resources and information on project scale, relevance, and effectiveness.

What You Will Do

Shelter strategyย development. Technical direction and assurance of high quality of projects. Project Cycle Management Implementationย through delivery of activities and targets, representations in PCM meetings, and planning and reporting. Project budget development and management. Logistics, Finance, and Human Resources Managementย compliance, and adherence to policies project cycle management tools, handbooks, and guidelines; and timely and accurate development of procurement plans, recruitment plans, and spending plans. Represent NRCย in external forums/cluster/working groups. Stakeholder management and external coordination. People Leadershipย through staffing, structure, and management of the team; and capacity building and on-the-job training.

Bachelorโ€™s degree. Senior project managementย experience in a humanitarian/recovery context. Emergency shelterย expertise. Southern Afghanistan context and humanitarian community responseย experience and knowledge. High risk, insecure, opaque, complex, and volatile context exposure. Englishย fluency, both written and verbal. Knowledge of the local language (Pashto).
