- Role and responsibilities
The HSS Officer is responsible for implementing security and safety policies at the NRC field offices located in Warrap, NBEG and WBEG States.ย The following is a brief description of the role.ย

- Implement NRCโs safety and security policies, procedures and regulations at field levelย

Specific responsibilitiesย
The specific responsibilities for this position include:ย
Monitor all movements and maintain records,ย Ensure functionality of security items including Thuraya phones, Radios, CCTV cameras, etc, Report to HSSM, field office compliance to NRC safety and security policies, procedures and regulations on a monthly basis, Provide safety and security updates to AM on a daily basis and maintain an incident log for the area of operation,ย Send weekly security report to HSSM office every Friday COB, Build and maintain stake holders contact list and assist AM in access related and other negotiations/discussions with them, Conduct security briefings to new staff, visitors and staff returning from leave within 24 hours of arrival. Manage Security guardsOther roles - Capacity to undertake the following tasks is an added advantage
Ensure data protection information security standard methodologies and back up systems are implemented (software and hardware), Trouble shooting and monitoring of network problems in the area office,ย Installation of windows operating system MS office and anti-Virus and others applications software in NRCโs computers,ย Provide technical inputs in facilitating IT Equipment procurement,ย Identify training ICT needs and report to CO as well as assist in conducting in house trainings.ย Other duties as required by line manager.Scale and scope of position Staff: No direct line reporteesย Stakeholders: The post has relationships with UN agencies, INGOs, local NGOs, civil society, governmental bodies.ย Budgets: None Information: SSMP, CMP, Incident Log, Incident Reports, Weekly Reports, SRA reports Legal or compliance: Noneย
