We are looking for a national Safe and Inclusive Programming (SIP) Coordinator who will work closely with the SIP Manager on facilitating, coordinating, following, and monitoring the implementation of the NRC Minimum Standards for Safe and Inclusive Programming (SIP) as well as supporting their institutionalisation/integration in NRC Ukraine.ย 

We are looking for a national Safe and Inclusive Programming (SIP) Coordinator who will work closely with the SIP Manager on facilitating, coordinating, following, and monitoring the implementation of the NRC Minimum Standards for Safe and Inclusive Programming (SIP) as well as supporting their institutionalisation/integration in NRC Ukraine.ย 

The SIP Coordinator will be responsible for supporting programme management with mainstreaming and rolling out new SIP tools, SOPs, and guidelines in line with NRCโ€™s global SIP Standards. The SIP Coordinator will work with the programme and support teams to develop and/or contextualise mainstreaming tools and guidance to ensure it is integrated within the programme cycle management. The Coordinator will identify gaps in terms of field-based programming and hold regular meetings with identified programme focal points to ensure quality in NRCโ€™s programming.ย 

The position encompasses field support, including through regular field visits, and training delivery relevant to SIP. The responsibilities also include close coordination with relevant parties on protection mainstreaming-related matters and possibly representation of NRC in various coordination meetings.ย 

The position sits within the SIP Team and manages the Community Engagement and Accountability (CEA) SIP Officer. The Community Feedback Mechanism Team also sits within the SIP Team.

SIP is the term that NRC uses to describe protection mainstreaming in humanitarian aid, and is strongly linked to and also encompasses gender, age, diversity mainstreaming and disability inclusion. SIP is foundational to NRCโ€™s Ways of Working and consists of four overarching elements and 11 minimum standards. It is about how we work, and what we do to make sureย NRC operations and programmes are safeย and inclusive. It ensures that our programmes respect certain standards, so they are participatory, accountable and dignified for the communities and people we work with and for.ย

What we are looking for:ย 

Contextualise and oversee the overall institutionalisation of NRCโ€™s Minimum Standards for SIP at area level, in line with NRCโ€™s country and global SIP Strategic Initiative.Develops systems and SOPs that support the implementation of SIP and follow up on their implementation with the Area Programme Managers, Area Manager, Sector specialists, MEL Manager and Partnership Manager.ย Train NRCโ€™s programme and support staff on the NRCโ€™s SIP-related policies and tools related to the application of the Minimum Standards.Provide ad hoc technical advice and support to the area office field teams throughout the programme cycle. This is to ensure adherence to the SIP standards (especially on the minimum standards) during planning, implementation and monitoring of NRCโ€™s programming.Review and analyse project data to identify protection trends, reporting, referrals (as appropriate), and response.ย Collaborate closely with colleagues working on Monitoring and Evaluation, HR, Finance, Logistics, and Risk and Compliance, on common issues, ensuring SIP integration within their systems and processes.

What you will bring:ย 

3 to 4 years of experience in a similar or related field.Relevant degree in Law, Social Studies, the Humanities, Anthropology, Ethnography, Political Science, Education or similar.Experience from working as a senior staff in a humanitarian or recovery context.Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.Experience and ability to train others and transfer knowledge.Experience in data analysis and report writing and ability to present data and convey information clearly and concisely and identifying trends.Experience working on protection, protection, accountability, community engagement, gender, disability and inclusion is an advantage.Fluency in both English, Ukrainian, and Russian (speaking, reading, writing).Knowledge of theย Ukrainian Response is an advantage.
