DESCRIPTION OF WORK

SAVE THE CHILDREN CANADA (SCC) PHILANTHROPY AND PARTNERSHIPS FUNDRAISING, DATA AND MARKET REVIEW

ย

Background

Save the Children believes every child deserves a future. In Canada and around the world, we do whatever it takes โ€“every day and in times of crisis โ€“ so children can fulfil their rights to a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. With over 100 years of expertise, we are the worldโ€™s first and leading independent childrenโ€™s organization โ€“ transforming lives and the future we share.ย

In alignment with our SCC 2022-27 strategic plan, we are committed to realizing our Theory of Change and transforming our methods towards decolonizing, anti-racism, power shifting, gender equality, and localization.ย

As part of our commitment to advancing this work, we have developed an ambitious multi-year plan to increase revenue generation from the Philanthropy and Partnerships portfolios (P&P) which include: individual giving (major and planned giving), corporate and foundation partnerships, as well as the creation of a new mid-level program.ย

ย

We seek a qualified consultant to analyze the P&P fundraising plan, validate/refine multi-year targets, corresponding pipelines and resources, and develop a performance measurement framework.ย

ย

To complete this work, we require a consultant to collaborate closely with relevant Save the Children stakeholders including key international peers and specialists.

ย

The scope should encompass:

ย

Review of Multi-Year Plan:

Thoroughly assess the existing multi-year plan, including revenue targets.

Review and assess organizational (SCC and Save the Children International) resources (e.g. services, products and human resources) to support philanthropy and partnerships.ย

Data and Market Review:

Analyze SCC fundraising data including portfolio pipelines.ย

Analyze market dynamics and donor preferences. Identify emerging trends and areas of opportunity within the philanthropic landscape.

Performance Metrics Review and Analysis:

Review and analyze existing metrics and key performance indicators.ย

Analyze sector benchmarks and best practices for performance metrics and portfolio development.ย
