The main role of the Logistics team leader is to manage the procurement team and functions for Zaatari camp area, ensuring quality support and services to all other units. ย 

Generic responsibilities.

Management of support staffImplement a plan of action for a delegated portfolio of support functions projects (activities, budget and project documentation)ย Day to day follow of progress in project implementationEnsure compliance with NRC policies CC tools, handbooks and guidelinesEnsure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and assess new and better ways to assistPromote and share ideas for technical improvementPrepare periodic progress reports and other documentsย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Ensure capacity building of support staff and transfer key skillsย Liaison and collaborate with relevant local authorities and stakeholdersPromote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy

Specific responsibilitiesย

Source appropriate suppliers in the local market for the procurement of goods and/or services based on the commonly requested goods and servicesย  .Monitor and document (procurement, warehousing) by partners and/or contractors (plan of action activities, contracts).Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers to ensure having the best value for money.Ensure local procurement conducted complies with NRC and donor procurement policies & procedures, conduct regular spot checks of the teamsโ€™ procurement files to ensure the compliance,Establish and maintain good professional working relationship with suppliers, service providers andย contractors whilst strictly adhering to NRC anti-corruption guidelines and NRC's Code of Conduct.Review the quality of purchased products, Ensure that the purchased products ย are always compatible with NRC needsEnsure that the Agresso Procurement form is maintained and is available for distribution to managers on a regular weekly and monthly basis.Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databasesEnsure that all appropriate purchase supporting documents are prepared for relevant approvalsMaintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoicesMonitor stock levels and place orders as neededCreate and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliersEnsure that procurement files are complete and prepared for the Finance Department for timely payments of procured Goods and ServicesEnsure fulfilment of the whole procurement process as per NRC Logistics Handbook, SOPโ€™s, and per donor requirements where required.ย Managingne the asset, by working closely with the focal point of the assetย Work with the Area Logistics Coordinator to optimize cost effectiveness across the departmentย Support warehousing team in inventory management, storage space, and ensuring safety standards.Handling day to day fleet operations.
