The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a highly qualified, resilient and dynamic communications professional to advise on, support, and develop internal communication in NRC, including from the Secretary-General and Senior Management Group. The successful candidate will work to implement the internal communication strategy and contribute to delivering on NRCโs global strategy.ย
What you will doย
Some of your specific responsibilities include:ย
Project manage the delivery of internal events and communication campaigns that build staff engagement: including coordinate, prepare, organise, promote, and facilitate internal events like all staff meetings, virtual field trips, etc.ย Support the Secretary Generalโs office and the Senior Management Group on internal communication. Participate in forums and groups to understand communication needs and respond in a timely manner.ย ย Support content owners in keeping their intranet content up-to-date and engaging.ย Provide advice and respond to requests to disseminate communications.ย Obtain data and share information. ยPlease download the detailed job description to learn more about the position. ย ย
What you will bringย
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with internal communication in a large and complex organisation.ย Minimum 3-year experience in project management, involving change management and communication (from the same or other position).ย Experience in working with organisational development and administration in larger organisations/companies, ideally including multi-site operations.ย Experience in working with sensitive information.ย Documented results related to the positionโs responsibilities.ย Technical knowledge and interest for internal communication in large and complex organisations.ย ย Excellent planner, ability to work to deadlines and adapt quickly when needed.ย Collaborative and service minded.ย User focus and empathy.ย Problem solving skills.ย Able to always handle confidential information.ย ย Fluency in English and Norwegian, both written and verbalย ย Communicate clearly, actively listen to others, respond with understanding and respectย Tailor communication to different target groups and channelsย Able to explain complex concepts and arguments clearly to a diverse audienceย Willing to accept and commit to changeย Plan and prioritise and respond flexibly to changing circumstancesย Remain calm and focused in challenging situations.ยWhat we offerย
