Role and responsibilitiesย
Generic responsibilitiesย
Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and proceduresย Ensure that projects target people most in need of protection, explore and asses new and better ways to assist.ย Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy.ย Contribute with Education CC specific technical competence to programme development, adjustment or review.ย Conduct Education CC specific technical assessment and present recommendationsย Provide Education CC specific technical input to coordination mechanisms (e.g. cluster coordination) and working groups as per the request of the Education PMยSpecific responsibilities:ย
Follow up implementing partners projects on their Youth Engagement activities through the needed support of Youth Council and Youth Centres.ย Design, monitor, evaluate, and review Youth Projects in coordination with NRCโs partner organisations.ย Support the implementation of NRC school grants (cash and voucher) for school improvement activities under the technical management of the education PM.ย Communicate with the relevant stakeholders, authorities, school headteachers, teachers, in order to ensure positive and healthy relationships.ย Ensure the project supporting documents are collected and filed in accordance with NRC procedures.ย ย Support the education needs assessment in the Area (design, planning, coordination with relevant actors, implementation, translation as appropriate, reporting)ย Identify community-based organizations / other local organizations for potential partnerships and support the coordination with partners.ย Collect and analyse qualitative and quantitative data. Present the data in a comprehensive manner.ย Translate documents and meetingsโ notes from English to the Ukrainian and Russian languages as appropriate.ย Contribute to the development of the education programme with technical and contextual inputs.ย Contribute to the development of Education CC strategy, Micro LogFrame, and Plan of Action with technical and contextual inputs.ย Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.ย Line management of the education technical assistant/s to ensure the assigned tasks and responsibilities are delivered in timely manner and with the desirable qualityย ย Ensure the performance management of the education technical assistant/s including staff development needs and professional growth.ย ยCritical interfacesย

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience within field of expertise (education, youth engagement activities, social services, project management)ย Knowledge of Youth Programs in Ukraine is an asset.ย Training skills for Youth Engagement Activities is an assetย ย Knowledge of Cash and Voucher modality is an asset.ย Documented technical competences related to the positionโs responsibilitiesย Technical specific knowledge from the humanitarian sector is an assetยContext related skills, knowledge and experience (shall be adapted to the specific position):ย ย
