Background

The World Food Programme (WFP) is the leading humanitarian organization fighting hunger and changing lives worldwide, delivering food assistance in emergencies, and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience.
As part of WFP Egypt CSP for 2023-2028, WFP is implementing its humanitarian response to refugees as well as resilience-building activities for refugees and host community members. Through its \"One Refugee Policy,\" WFP targets vulnerable refugees irrespective of nationality with cash-based transfers to ensure they can meet their essential food needs throughout the year. WFPโ€™s approach to food security is two-pronged; it first ensures access to basic food needs for vulnerable populations through immediate support, and secondly, it addresses long-term resilience building for future self-reliance.
