The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a highly qualified, resilient and dynamic Area Manager that willย ensure high quality and cost effective programme/project implementation in the states of Zulia and Tachiraย What you will do
- Contribute to NRC humanitarian access and implement the planned advocacy and communication initiatives approved by the country office
- Identify trends in protection context, human mobility, humanitarian gaps and donor priorities in the area
- Promote consolidation of the program implementation in the Zulia state
- Consolidate and expand the new programme areas in Tachira state through a close supervision
- Manage relations with potential implementing partners identifiedย
- In close collaboration with the MEL Department, ensure relevant quality control and monitoring/evaluation standards in the areaย

What you will bring
- Minimum 3 years of experience from working as a Senior Project Manager in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- Previous management experience of complex teams
- Documented results related to the positionโs responsibilities
- Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
- Fluency in Spanish and English both written and verbal
- Knowledge of the context in Venezuela is a strong asset
- Experience representing an organization with external actors
- Experience in oversight and management of support processes
- Experience in remote management of offices and teams What we offer
- Duty station: San Cristobal - Maracaibo, Venezuela
- Contract: international contract, 24 monthsย
- Travel: up to 50%ย
