Position Overview:

Partners In Health employees face with a multitude of unique and intersecting social, economic, political and environmental challenges which compound the taxing work of delivering critical care to patients and families suffering from illness. These challenges might include the threat, presence or aftermath of political violence, environmental disaster or pandemic disease. As a result of Partners In Healthโ€™s commitment to the wellbeing of staff providing critical support to their communities, the Employee Wellbeing program is being built to ensure our employees have resources both internally and externally to support them through these challenges.

As a Wellbeing Officer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing initiatives to promote and maintain the physical and mental health and wellbeing of PIH employees. You will work with various departments to develop strategies and programs that will foster a healthy work environment and culture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive wellbeing strategy (Bio-psycho-social) that aligns with the organization's objectives and goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, HR and other departments to identify key areas for improvement and develop plans to address them.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify employee wellness concerns and design appropriate interventions to address them.
  • Develop and manage the budget for the wellbeing program and ensure that all initiatives are cost-effective and deliver maximum value.
  • Work with external vendors and partners to provide access to wellbeing resources and services, such as mental health support, fitness programs, nutrition coaching, and stress management training.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the wellbeing program by gathering feedback and data from employees and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and deliver wellness-related training and events, such as workshops, seminars, and health fairs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and best practices in employee wellbeing and incorporate them into the organization's wellbeing strategy and initiatives.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees seeking support or resources related to their physical and mental health and wellbeing.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, management, and external vendors.
  • Maintain a close and collaborative relationship with Cross Site Staff Wellness Team through Calls and other communication stream.
  • Support the HR Generalist with expert professional advice and guidance on all sickness and absence welfare issues.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources, psychology, health sciences, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferential but not necessary.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a corporate and healthcare environment.
    • Strong knowledge of current trends and best practices in employee wellbeing and wellness programs.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
    • Strong project management and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful wellbeing initiatives.
    • Experience with data analysis and program evaluation.
    • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to employee health and wellness.
    • Certification in relevant fields (e.g., wellness coaching, mental health first aid, etc.) is a plus.
    • Excellent communication skills including negotiation, interpersonal, presentation, facilitation and report writing skills and the ability to present technical information in a readily understandable format.
    • Demonstrate solicitude, empathy, trustworthiness, attentiveness, supportiveness, thoughtfulness in approach to work.
