- Technical Supervision of enumerators, daily Workers, and Incentive Labour.
- Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines as well Government rules and regulationsย
- Assist with the implementation of the shelter portfolio according to plan of action
- Assist in the preparation and development of technical status reports as required by management
- Ensure proper filing of technical documents in both hard and soft copies
- Ensure that projects target beneficiary sites/units most in need, and explore and assess new and better ways to assist
- Promote and share ideas for technical improvement in relation to both the โhardโ and โsoftโ components of Shelter programming
- Actively participate in capacity building trainings, workshops and seminars organized by NRC.
- Assist in developing work plans for the technical aspects shelter activities
- Ensure that gender and protection mainstreaming are carried out at the field level.
- Collaborate with teams from other CCโs to ensure that project beneficiaries are provided with the full packages of services available through NRCโs programming according to the beneficiaries specific and self-identified needs
- Conduct technical needs assessments, and participate when required in focus group discussions, community meetings, and other community mobilization activitiesย
- Conduct distribution of emergency items, including NFIs, shelter kits, cash or vouchers.ย
- In collaboration with Shelter distribution Officer/Coordinator, conduct door to door visits to potential beneficiary household sites and correctly fill project related technical forms and questionnaires.
- Support the Shelter Distribution officer on the preparation of scope of works for Kits distribution activities.
- In collaboration with the officer, conduct community mobilization and engagement at site level in accordance with NRC Technical minimum standards
- Respond to any project authorities/beneficiary information requests and complaints in regards to technical aspects of implementation directed by Project Officer and M&E unit.
- Report on technical aspects daily activities of Incentive labour and complete documentation in regards to technical performance
- Participate in field level coordination with community stakeholders in areas of project implementation as directed by the Officer.
- Perform any other task relevant to the position as requested by the Project Officer and/or the Project Coordinator.
Generic professional competencies:ย
- A minimum ofย 2 years of experience supervising construction/rehabilitation works at field level in private/humanitarian projects. Experience supervising contractors works.ย Proven experience, knowledge and skills to monitor construction projects.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the humanitarian sector during identification of beneficiaries, distributions, community mobilization.
