For over a decade, NORCAP and the African Union have worked in partnership to strengthen the capacity of the continental organisation. The NORCAP-AU Programme has supported the AU Commission with both recruitment and secondment of high-level experts. This has strengthened the AUโs capacity for policy development, peace support, mediation, advocacy, and democratic governance. A key principle of NORCAPโs support is that the experts strengthen the organizationโs ability to deliver on the objectives of the AU Agenda 2063 of peace, prosperity, and integration.
We are looking for someone with solid experience and understanding from working with capacity building, partnership development, and donor relations (in particular institutional donors such as the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), and the European Union).
The Thematic Manager will work in the Section for Protection, Peace, and Democracy at NORCAPโs Head Office in Oslo. The position is responsible for developing and delivering results within this thematic area, in accordance with the new NORCAP strategy 2022-2025.
