Uzbekistan is in the process of implementing economic reforms, including taking measures against climate change and for the green transformation of its economy. The efficient and competitive industrial sector is crucial for both, the reduction of CO2 emissions, and the contribution to value creation and employment. The project โPrivate sector development and economic policy advice for green industrialisation in Uzbekistanโ supports Uzbekistanโs public and private sector actors to promote green industrialisation, and to introduce energy- and resource-efficient production. Thereby, it creates the conditions for long-term sustainable economic growth that is decoupled from the use of natural resources.
Your tasks
Support the management of the project in the technical, content-related, and organizational implementation of the project Cooperate with the projectโs partners and advise them on greening the industrial sector of Uzbekistan and CO2 emissions reduction Support the project in preparation and monitoring contracts with international and local consultants Support knowledge management within the project and will contribute to the communication and visibility of the project Responsible for the implementation of a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation and impact monitoring system for the project Contribute to reporting to the commissioning party and prepare presentations and publications Participate in event management and networking activitiesYour profile
Completed university studies in environmental studies, economics, political studies or related courses of study. Initial relevant work experience in the field of green economy, preferably gained in developing or emerging countries First work experience in project management in development cooperation in partner countries. Distinct conceptual and analytical skills as well as a high level of advisory competence. Strong communication and teamwork skills and a high degree of self-organisation and networking skills. Business fluent in German and English; knowledge of Uzbek or Russian is desirableLocation information
