Partnering for Readiness (PfR) supports partner countries to strategically plan climate finance and access the Green Climate Fund (GCF), improving countriesโ capacities to set up structures to implement climate projects independently and reach their climate targets.
PfR acts as a collaborative knowledge hub for climate finance readiness by:
- contributing to shaping the international discourse and developing innovative knowledge building concepts;
- connecting countries and organizations and promoting the global transfer of knowledge and experiences;
- acting as a sparring partner to the GCF, providing input and feedback, and co-creating learning platforms and knowledge products.
Ihre Aufgaben
Under the guidance of a supervisor, you will contribute to tasks in the area of climate finance with a focus on the GCF and its readiness programme. You will support colleagues in their work with partner countries and in knowledge preparation and exchange on topics such as direct access modality of GCF, climate finance access of SIDS, transparency and integrity in the management of financial resources, green financial systems, and climate finance training. In doing so, you will get to know the administrative and organizational processes of GIZ's operations. During your internship, you will gain an insight into the day-to-day business of the team, participate in, plan and prepare for meetings and discussions.

currently enrolled expertise in the field of climate change, especially international climate finance and policy, climate change adaptation and / or mitigation, and / or green financial systems understanding of development cooperation initial practical experience โ also abroad โ in the context of relevant internships or part-time jobs analytical thinking, structured working method and good oral and written expression skills ability to work independently, also under time pressure business fluent in English, French and/or Spanish language skills are an advantage excellent knowledge of common MS Office programs (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Hinweise

We pay a monthly stipend of โฌ2.134,52 (gross).
