Job description

Green hydrogen is to be used to achieve Germany's ambitious energy and climate targets and open up sustainable growth and development opportunities in partner countries. This requires entrepreneurial spirit and private sector commitment. On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK), we are cooperating with companies that are pioneers in testing new business models, developing forward-looking projects and open up new markets. In particular, development partnerships with the (EPW) in particular enable technology and project-related collaboration with companies and companies and provides impetus for the global market ramp-up. With this internship, you extend your insights into the dynamics of hydrogen/PtX markets and connect with experts within GIZ and partners.

Your tasks

As part of the internship, you will take on the following tasks:

You will support technical, content-related and organisational implementation of measures and activities of the project You will support advising the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) on issues relating to the global hydrogen market ramp-up and hydrogen/PtX project approaches and their support requirements You will support advising the project's country teams on the design and implementation of different project approaches on site (particularly North Africa region) You will evaluate and analyse ideas competitions and the content of cooperation projects with companies (similar to the develoPPP funding programme) Exchanging ideas with advising companies on market development issues, project approaches, challenges and funding opportunities, offtake You will actively contribute to the successful implementation of internal and external workshops and other events You will support the day-to-day operations and project management

Your profile

Interest in the topics of renewable energy, international cooperation and sustainability (initial work experiences are an advantage) Ongoing university studies, e. g. in the field of (industrial) engineering, business administration or another relevant field Strong written communication skills, analytical thinking skills and structured approach to work Fluent in English; knowledge of German and French is an advantage Proactive and structured way of working, high organisational skills and strong initiative Enjoy conceptualisation and idea development Strong conceptual, analytical and communication skills Business fluent in German and English; fluency in French or Spanish is an advantage Good MS Office skills (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams)

We pay a monthly stipend of €2.134,52 (gross).
