The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India (MoEFCC) in partnership with the GIZ is implementing Biodiversity related projects, commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Federal Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV). The Indo-German Biodiversity Projects are the following: Wetlands Management for Biodiversity and Climate Protection; Sustainable Management of Forest Ecosystem Services; One Health and Agroecology; Enhancement of Smallholder Spice Farmerโs Capacities in Sustainable Farming and Development of National Framework for Electronic People's Biodiversity Registers in India. Your tasks
You will support the team especially in the areas of programme management, monitoring and reporting.
Specifically, your tasks include:
deliverables to partners of the projects Support in Knowledge management Assurance of quality and knowledge management Research support in special fields of work such as CBD COP, environmental and climate policy Support in the documentation of the project activities and events Any other tasks assigned as per the needs and project demands
Your profile
Studies in the field of environment, biodiversity, geography, forest management etc. Excellent writing and communication skills in English and German language You are motivated, a team player and flexible; you are enthusiastic and work independently and structured Experience abroad in developing countries especially India is an advantage, but not a prerequisite Interest in our relevant topics (biodiversity, forest management, development cooperation) and basic knowledge of the relevant actors in international cooperation are desirableNotes
Please be informed that you are only allowed to apply for this internship, if you are currently enrolled as a student or graduated not longer than six months ago from the start of your internship.
We pay a monthly stipend of โฌ2.134,52 (gross). Depending on the country of assignment a monthly expatriation allowance (gross), predetermined by GIZ will be paid on top.
