What we are looking for

NRC is looking for a Programme Manager, South East to join the INGO Forum in Myanmar. The role holder will work closely with INGO Forum members to support humanitarian coordination and operational response among key actors.

What you will do

Coordination & Representation (40%):ย Serve as the INGO Forumโ€™s representative in the South East Nexus Working Groupโ€™s Advisory Task Force and as the focal point within the INGO Forum Secretariat, and coordinating operational and advocacy work. Information Management (30%):ย Develop and maintain a network of response organisations. Coordination & Networking (15%): Coordinate with internal and external actors to enhance overall humanitarian efforts. What you will bring

University degree. Coordination, information management, communications, and/or advocacyย experience in a humanitarian, recovery, development and/or peacebuilders context. Humanitarian response and development expertise. Strategy and policyย development, and workplan implementation experience. Support meetings and workshopsย organisation experience. Stakeholder coordination track record. South East Myanmar contextย exposure and knowledge. English and Burmeseย fluency, both written and verbal.

What makes this position attractive?

This position will work closely with INGO Forum members and response actors in the South East (Kayin, Kayah, Mon, Tanintharyi, Bago, and Southern Shan) to support humanitarian coordination and operational response among key actors. The role holder will work closely with the INGO Forum Secretariat in advising the Forumโ€™s membership and partners, advisory tasks, information sharing, capacity strengthening, and supporting policy and advocacy work.ย  The position willย work closely with Area Humanitarian Country Teams, and will be a part of the Strategic Advisory Task Force of the South East Nexus Working Group. The role holder will also manage and facilitate the South East NGO Platform and support coordination and advocacy efforts of INGO Forum members operational in the South East. Yangon, Myanmar duty station. 12-month contract duration. 20% travel, approximately. Grade 9 in NRCโ€™s Salary Scale,ย with accompanying terms and conditions.
