Always adhere to NRC policiesand donor requirements. Implement ICLA activities according to strategy,proposals, budgets, and plans/ targets. Involve target communities and community leaders in the planning of activities. Coordinate with relevantpartners/ other humanitarian actors and other NRC core competencies and support departments. Ensure the timely procurement and distribution of materials needed for field activities according to NRC procedures. Contribute to periodicprogress reports and other documentsas required. Develop and maintainknowledge of Legal and Civil Documentation (LCD) and           Housing, Land and Property (HLP) rights to be effective in his/her work. Use initiative in day-to-day problem solving in line with agreed ICLA procedures, priorities, and standards. Ensure proper filing of documents.

Specific responsibilities

Provide and Facilitate information, counselling, legal assistance project activities to targetcommunities in line with NRC policies, strategies, and work plans. Accurately record all ICLA activities in line with NRC policy and using templates and guidance providedby NRC. Facilitate and provide accurate information on legal and civil documentation (LCD) and housing, land, and property (HLP) rights and entitlements to target beneficiaries in accordance with agreed information scripts. Provide accuratelegal counselling on LCD and HLP topics within his/hercompetency and in a manner that enablesICLA counselling beneficiaries to effectively resolve theirLCD and HLP issues independently. Assist Provision LCD and HLP trainingusing NRC approvedmaterials and templates. Participate in assessments, monitoring and profiling exercises as agreed with line managers. Ensure that ICLA activities are carried out in line with appropriate NRC ICLA SOPs.  Perform any other tasks as requestedby ICLA line managers.

University Degre Law, Political Science, Sociology, or any related field to this position,  Understanding Humanitarian intervention and Somali region.  Willing to spend more time at the filed level and ready to learn.  Knowing the local language (Somali) is additional asset.
