The overall objective of the internship role will be to contribute to NRC ICLAโs evidence creation, strategic advocacy and partner identification, engagement and support around Legal Identity (LID), Housing Land and Property (HLP) and Employment Laws and Procedures (ELP) efforts in collaboration with communities we work with, state and non-state actors.ย
Support with the formatting/design/branding of specific NRC advocacy products (eg: briefing notes, policy memos, etc)
Support with MoU drafting, OAT processes and the preparation of Notes for File and Framework Agreements with unique partnerships
Assist with organising advocacy meetings at the Country Office in liaison with NRC field staff, including setting up meetings, researching targets and helping with follow up โ including with the National Government and County Government Offices
Provide support in the form of note-taking, monitoring, reporting, etc. ahead of, during and after specific occasions (e.g.: summits, pledging/advocacy events, etc)ย
Support research and analysis initiatives related to NRC advocacy workย
Support archiving, filing and categorisation of NRC policy, advocacy, media and communication initiatives
Support partners with NRC's urban programming ambitions around legal protection interventionsย
Assist with outreach to institutions, universities, think tanks and other relevant institutions engaged in humanitarian action or policy decision-making
Trained or undergoing training in Bachelorโs degree in Social Science, Politics, Law, Communications, International Relations or a relevant field.ย
Passionate about humanitarian work including areas such as research, advocacy and legal assistance and protection related work.
Interest in humanitarian policy, with ability to demonstrate familiarity with one or more key policy areas (Legal Aid; Protection; Housing, Land and Property; Employment Laws and Procedures, Leal Identity) a strong advantage.
Fluency in English, both written and verbal
