Position Overview:
Under the general supervision of the Human Resource Director, the position will provide advice and support to managers and staff on all aspects of HR management
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with the Senior Management Team to plan, implement, and assess employee relations and human resources policies and practices.Coordinate recruitment, hiring, onboarding, promotion, and, when needed, termination of staffLiaise with senior managers to monitor and review staff performanceFairly administer Partners In Healthโs HR policies and resolve employee grievancesConduct orientation and training programs for new employees and career development of existing employeesAssist HR Director with annual and semi-annual appraisals, as well as with coaching to improve the Partners In Health management cultureEnsure job descriptions and employee files are up to dateEnsure Partners In Health Liberia complies with labor laws and the highest standards of professional conductAdminister compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs.Allocate human resources, ensuring appropriate matches between employeeProvide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, settling disputes, and administering disciplinary procedures.Qualifications:
ยท Bachelors or associate degree or similar professional training in Human Resource and related areas are required.
ยท 5+ yearsโ experience working in Human Resource Management, Hiring, Benefits Administration, Performance Management, Communication Processes, Compensation and Wage Structure, Supports Diversity, Classifying Employees, Employment Law and Laws Against Sexual Harassment
ยท Knowledge of, and experience with computers, including Word, Excel, Power Point and other software. Microsoft Word & Excel knowledge and ability is very important.
ยท Strong planning and supervision skills
ยท Experience recruiting high-potential staff in a challenging HR environment
ยท Experience working in similar positions with international organizations is preferred;
ยท Proven experience of working closely with government, private and donor agencies
ยท Ability to work within a multi-cultural environment, with perceptive sensitivity to varied staff (national and international) personal and cultural management needs
ยท Good command of reading, writing and spoken English
