5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

Mรฉdecins Sans Frontiรจres (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization created in 1971 that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural disasters. MSF is one of the largest independent medical humanitarian organizations in the world, with projects located in 65 countries worldwide. Its work is based on the humanitarian principles of medical ethics; the goal of MSF is to provide emergency care and to offer assistance to people based only on need and irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. The French section is present in around 30 countries.

In the context of a temporary support, we are looking for a Compensation & Benefits Referent M/F.

The Field Policies and Tools Unit referred to as POT (Politiques et Outils Terrain) in French, supports Operational HR teams at Field and HQ level, in local HR administration and management by providing them with the required guidance, tools and expertise. The team includes a wide range of HR experts and is currently composed of a HR Policies Referent and a Mobile Support Officer, 2 Compensation & Benefits Referents, 2 Homรจre Referents (HR software) and a Head of Unit. The Compensation & Benefits Referent provides support and advice to operational HR teams within their scope (functions classification, staff compensation and benefits) and contributes actively to the development, maintenance and diffusion of compensation and benefits policies and tools.

Since several years, MSF has engaged in rewards review to ensure MSF has the global workforce it needs to meet the humanitarian challenges of the future. This Rewards Review is developing rewards policies and tools that contribute toward a more equitable, transparent, and consistent approach to rewarding staff. The project has entered the key phase of detailed design and roll-out of first decisions. At the same time, day-to-day activities require more resources, within a background of global inflation, acute and continuing crisis, increased frequency of salary reviews and transition management.
