I. MSF INTERNATIONAL
Mรฉdecins Sans Frontiรจres (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural disasters. MSF offers assistance to people based only on need and irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
MSF International is the legal entity that binds MSFโs 24 sections, 27 associations and other offices together. Registered in Switzerland, MSF International provides coordination, information and support to the MSF Movement, as well as implements international projects and initiatives as requested.
II. POSITION BACKGROUND
The objective of SPINCO โ a department of MSF international office - is to deliver a central source of trusted product information. To that end we collaborate with others across the movement and aim for process improvements.
The position of the SPINCO Energy officer is a temporary position at MSF in Brussels or any other OC headquarter office. The aim is to support the process of the clean-up of the logistical descriptions of energy-related articles in UniData and make the information available for the field missions in the front-end tools such as unicat. The foreseen workload is for 6 months.
III. PLACE IN THE ORGANISATION
The SPINCO Energy officer is part of the SPINCO logistics team of MSF International. He/she reports to the Referent ITC Logistics and works closely with the SPINCO Logistics Data-steward and members of the International Energy working group. IV. OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

The current volume of articles related to energy in the master-data is more than 5000 articles, of which around 500 are standard. Almost 3000 of these 5000 energy-related articles have been identified as a complex article, for which an additional article description - either in the form of a technical sheet or a form-fit-function-description (FFF) - would be helpful to the field. At this moment only around 800 of these validated descriptions exist for energy-related articles.
The purpose of the position of SPINCO energy officer is to increase the number of valid descriptions for energy-related articles, in collaboration with the international Energy working group.
This includes:
Proofreading and clean-up of existing descriptions
Adding additional information or pictures when missing
Writing of new descriptions
Validation of descriptions
Bringing discussion points related to descriptions to the attention of the international Energy working group

Collaborate on these tasks with members of the Energy working group or ESC specialists on the descriptions and on the validation of these descriptions in UniData
Follow-up on questions and feedbacks related to descriptions for energy-related articles
Add relevant information that doesn't fit or belong in the label in the FFF description
