5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

Background
ย  Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are core principles at UNDP:ย  we value diversity as an expression of the multiplicity of nations and cultures where we operate, we foster inclusion as a way of ensuring all personnel are empowered to contribute to our mission, and we ensure equity and fairness in all our actions. Taking a โ€˜leave no one behindโ€™ approach to our diversity efforts means increasing representation of underserved populations. People who identify as belonging to marginalized or excluded populations are strongly encouraged to apply. Learn more about working at UNDP including our values and inspiring stories.
ย  UNDP does not tolerate sexual exploitation and abuse, any kind of harassment, including sexual harassment, and discrimination. All selected candidates will, therefore, undergo rigorous reference and background checks.
The Regional Bureau for Africa (RBA) leads the work of the United Nations Development Programme in the Sub-Saharan African region to implement the organizationโ€™s Strategic Plan, driven by the vision to eliminate poverty and significantly reduce inequalities and exclusion. UNDP provides proactive strategic oversight and support to forty-six country offices in Africa by responding to their demand for operations, policy and programme advice. In line with UNDPโ€™s Strategic Offer for Africa, UNDP supports countries in Africa to address multiple interrelated challenges that are impairing the ability of the continent to further advance sustainable human development.

The Strategy, Analysis and Research Team (SART) provides strategic analysis and upstream policy advice to RBA management and country offices in sub-Saharan Africa through intellectual leadership on key development issues in the region. SARTโ€™s focus areas include data analysis and measurement, strategic policies, and knowledge production.
