Mission and objectivesIstanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (IICPSD) supports the private sector and foundations to become transformative partners in development through research, advocacy for inclusive business, facilitation of public-private dialogue and brokering partnerships. IICPSD, established in 2011 in partnership with the Government of Turkey, is one of UNDP's six Global Policy Centres. It leads UNDPโs global work on private sector and foundations and supports UNDPโs offices all over the world. The Center focuses on four thematic areas: 1. Inclusive Business; 2. Private Sector Engagement in Skills Development; 3. Impact investing; 4. Resilience and Crisis Response. The Center also hosts four global initiatives: Business Call to Action, SDG Philanthropy Platform, Global Islamic Finance and Impact Investing Platform and Connecting Business Initiative.
ContextThe Gamified and Simulation-Based Safety Trainings for Children in Ukraine initiative, developed under the Tech4R framework, aims to help children aged 10โ16 in frontline areas safely learn life-saving behaviors through calm, trauma-sensitive digital experiences. To ensure that all storylines, visuals, and interactions are psychologically safe, age-appropriate, and inclusive, a Trainer on Psychological Safety & Learning Design will prepare community volunteers to create content that supports emotional well-being, cognitive engagement, and inclusive participation. The trainer will bridge the gap between child psychology and digital design โ helping volunteers understand how to integrate learning principles, emotional safety measures, and inclusive accessibility features into every part of the gamified and AR simulation modes. This role is critical for ensuring that the final digital tool supports childrenโs resilience, avoids harmful triggers, and aligns with UNESCOโs safeguarding and inclusive education standards.
Task DescriptionUnder the supervision of the Tech4R coordination team, the OV Trainer will: Design and conduct a short training module (1โ2 sessions) on trauma-informed, inclusive learning design for volunteers involved in content, visuals, and game development. Introduce basic principles of child protection, psychological safety, and age-appropriate learning in digital environments. Guide volunteers in developing calm, emotionally balanced scripts, dialogues, and visuals suitable for children experiencing stress or trauma. Advise on adapting scenarios for neurodiverse learners, including children with autism, ADHD, or sensory sensitivities. Provide feedback on early prototypes and narrative elements to ensure safeguarding standards are met. Collaborate with the Game & Mobile Development Trainer to align technical features with child well-being and safe interaction design. Support documentation of safety and learning design principles for inclusion in project handover materials.
