This position aims to Support the Registration Unit in strengthening the Peruvian government asylum system and other databases, including UNHCR’s database, to ensure recognized refugees and asylum seekers can access proper documentation, rights, and other services. The incumbent will engage in activities such as drafting terms of reference related to information technology services and products and/or implementing and monitoring projects related to software development. This position also aims to support discussions, and definitions of business requirements for the interoperability of relevant systems, provide business analysis, data quality assessments, and conduct field testing of new functionalities within respective databases. This position requires constant coordination with relevant Government counterparts, private service providers, and UNHCR partner organizations.

Skills:

- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in drafting terms of reference related to information technology services and products.
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in implementing and monitoring projects related to software development and/or testing
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in data management and systematization.
- Experience in working with data related to forcibly displaced and/or stateless persons.
- Experience in working with government databases development, testing, or maintenance.
- Advanced level of management of data management programs (particularly Excel and R).
- Advanced level in data visualization (PowerBI or others).

Standard Job Description Senior Business Analysis Assistant Organizational Setting and Work Relationships The Senior Business Analysis Assistant normally functions under the direct supervision of a more senior business analyst or IT staff. The incumbent supports the ongoing and overall end-to-end integration of ERP modules within the Area of Responsibility (AoR). System change requests are often in relation to policy changes or the re-engineering of procedures, or key initiatives. The incumbent supports translating business requirements into specifications for IT developers inside and/or outside of UNHCR. The incumbent will work closely with the supervisor and with colleagues from the respective Division towards enhancement and automation of business processes using technology. As needed, the incumbent will also assist the supervisor in analysis and testing of ERP functionality changes within the AoR which may result from technical/image upgrades. S/he will assist the supervisor with day-to-day support to the users as needed. All UNHCR staff members are accountable to perform their duties as reflected in their job description. Duties - Assist in gathering requirements for ERP change requests within the AoR and in solutions and design for business process challenges, using technology. - Assist in re-engineering/enhancement of business processes or current ERP module/functionality within the AoR, to ensure compliance with policies and administrative instructions, with the goal of improved efficiency for users through self-service/process automation. - Assist in coordination of user testing and perform testing as needed on behalf of the future system user. - Assist in process improvement discussions within the AoR, looking for streamlining opportunities with a view of standardizing and simplifying processes and services. - Prepare end-user training materials and assist in formulating training approaches aligned with the functionality being deployed. - Provide post-change follow-up and user support to ensure successful stabilisation. - Perform other related duties as required. Prior experience with ERP. Experience in finding technical solutions and efficiencies for business process challenges. Proven ability to deal with multiple tasks in a courteous and service-oriented manner in demanding working conditions that often have short deadlines. Desirable Demonstrated ability to learn new software tools and methods of supporting business processes. Demonstrated ability to manage tasks to a target timeline.
