The guard's duties will be in alignment with UNHCR's principles and objectives, which include promoting the well-being of refugees and internally displaced individuals in Aleppo, Syria. The Guard Supervisor is expected to uphold UNHCR's values, such as neutrality, impartiality, and respect for international humanitarian law. The UNHCR's mission and commitment to humanitarian principles add an additional layer of importance and responsibility to the role of Guard Supervisor, highlighting the need for professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and adherence to international humanitarian standards.

The Guard Supervisor will lead a team of security personnel and ensure that all security protocols and procedures are followed to protect personnel, assets, and property. Given the high-risk nature of the area, applicants must be aware of and prepared for the challenges associated with operating in a high-risk area in Aleppo, Syria. Therefore, they should have the ability to cope with stress, uncertainty, and the potential for dangerous situations.

Desirable requirements

Experience in supervising and managing security personnel.
Ability to make quick, informed decisions in high-pressure situations.
Training in crisis response and emergency procedures.
Certification in first aid and basic medical training.
Familiarity with security technology, such as surveillance systems and access control equipment.

Essential Requirements
