Overview:
FHI 360 has an exciting internship opportunity for a student interested in growing their skills within the international development sector. Under close supervision, an intern will perform entry level professional duties which will provide the opportunity for professional training in various functional areas throughout the organization. Internship assignments serve to offer practical experience and broad exposure to a global nonprofit development organization.
The Economic Participation and Environment (EPE) Team is a leader in inclusive economic development based in environmentally sustainable livelihoods that foster resilient enterprises and communities that benefit people and the planet. The EPE works on a broad range of topics from workforce development, youth employment, and labor market systems to womenโs economic empowerment, inclusive livelihoods, green jobs, the green economy and sustainable regenerative tourism.
The EPE team seeks an intern to support activities at the nexus of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services (MHPSS), workforce development, private sector engagement, and climate change. Recognizing that mental health challenges not only affect individual well-being and economic participation but are also increasingly exacerbated by climate change-related stressors, such as eco-anxiety, enhancing MHPSS is crucial for addressing global development challenges across various sectors, including economic growth, global health, governance, peace and security, and education. The intern will play a vital role in supporting the EPE team's MHPSS activities.
