Terms of ReferenceThe Reception Coordinator is a member of the RSD unitโs coordination team. The Reception Coordinatorโs responsibilities include scheduling RSD interviews, carrying out negative decision notification, ensuring physical files are pulled out from the filing room in a timely manner for upcoming RSD interviews, tracing missing physical files, ensuring all electronic databases including proGres are updated correctly and ensuring the admission of persons of concern to the RSD premises in a timely manner. The Reception Coordinator also provides counselling to, and responds to queries from, asylum seekers and refugees regarding UNHCR's RSD procedures, their rights and obligations, including towards the host authorities, and the status of the processing of their claims. The Reception Coordinator may provide interpretation and/or translation services in cases for which they have the required language competencies. The Reception Coordinator must have good time management, planning and organizational competencies. The Reception Coordinator will be expected to report daily to the RSD premises in 6 October City, Giza Governorate, and will be expected to promote workplace harmony and teamwork. If employed by UNHCR Egypt a minimum of 12 months serving in the current position is required. Experience working with refugees, asylum-seekers, internally displaced persons, returnees, and stateless persons is an asset.
