Thepurpose of the role is to ensure quality programming and coordination for NRC Ukraine PfV
programme in South area. Furthermore, the holder of the role will be responsible for mentoring, training, and capacity building ofstaff on the technical issues related to PfV.

What you will do:
Project management and reporting:
Overall responsibility for effective and efficient management of the projects in South Ukraine consistent with the project management cycle, and safe and inclusive programming. Responsible for development and follow up of detailed project work plans, spending plan, and recruitment plan for the specific CC projects on area level. Provide input for internal and external reporting, both narrative and financial. Ensure representation in sectoral coordination, clusters and/or working groups relevant to Protection and Site management. Ensure implementation of appropriate MEL response, including engaging MEL teams to develop tools and Protection monitoring activities. This includes contributing to capturing lessons learnt on the project methodology and implementation. Responsible for capacity building of project staff, and transferring key skillsthrough on the job training - particular focus on senior project staffCivilian Self-Protection, Individual protection services and Case Management:
Contribute to the development and roll out of the Civilian Self-Protection activities. Ensure regular site visits for the implementation of civilian self-protection projects. Ensure capacity development of PfV staff and transfer key skills in civilian self-protection, including relevant safe and inclusive programming considerations. Train, mentor, and coach project team on general Protection Case Management and Individual Protection Assistance in line with NRC modalities and standards. Ensure the alignment of the protection activities among the different field teams and support the development of common guidelines and SOPs. Contribute to the establishment and/or strengthening of functional internal and external referral mechanisms, including developing SOPs and case-tracking tools, training the project team, providing technical support throughout the roll-out phase, and building connection with internal and external stakeholders involved in referrals. Ensure that new and existing tools and SOPs are structured to align with NRC approaches to protection services. Maintain a Case Management tracking system. Provide technical and managerial support to the implementation of the project activities.Site management support:
Develop and implement the activities focusing on engagement of the local community representative structures via coordination, facilitation and enabling of the local stakeholders. Facilitate and supervise regular community participatory processes e.g., assessments, community workshops and monitoring of the collective sites in coordination with the CCCM cluster. Strengthen area-based coordination mechanisms, leading where relevant the coordination among different actors. Represent NRC in relevant coordination fora at regional/area and sub-national level, including e.g., the CCCM Cluster and its Strategic Advisory Group, any relevant Durable Solutions or accountability to affected populations. Support exploring potential opportunities for implementation of site management activities through partnerships with the local actors, including working closely with the Partnership team in the AO and supporting capacity building of the selected partners.Analysis, Monitoring and Advocacy:
Monitor and produce analysis in regards to protection risks and engage with other protection actors, including other PfV teams in NRC, to address risks at the community level. Advocate to key stakeholders, including government bodies, duty bearers, community structures, donors and other humanitarian actors to achieve the protection outcomes.What you will bring:
Relevant university degree; At least 3 years of field experience working as a Project Manager, preferably in PfV and/or Camp/Site Management programs in complex emergencies, with responsibility for project cycle management, risk management, staff management & development, and grants & budgets management. Experience in logistics/administration management. Experience of coordination and advocacy work. Excellent communication and reporting skills, both written and oral. Willingness to work in demanding, stressful situations under difficult living conditions with respect for security rules and procedures. Fluency in spoken and written English. Valid driver’s licenseContext/specific skills, knowledge and experience:
Knowledge of the context in Ukraine would be an advantage. Knowledge of local languages (Ukrainian and Russian) would be an advantage. PfV and/or Camp/Site Management programme experience with start-up, exit or similar would bean advantage.What Makes This Position Attractive?
